Canon has added a new point-and-shoot camera to its range in the form of the IXUS 300 HS. Powered by DIGIC 4 processor, this compact camera boasts a 10-megapixel CMOS sensor, a 28mm wide angle lens, a 3.8x optical zoom lens, a 3-inch PureColor II G LCD screen, Canon’s new HS system (provides better low light performance and high-speed shooting), an SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card slot, a USB 2.0 port, a mini HDMI port and 720p video recording (30fps). The Canon IXUS 300 HS will be available across the UK and Ireland from the end of May for £379.

JVC’s latest Full HD camcorder ‘Everio GZ-HM1‘ has finally arrived in stores. You’ll be able to pick one up via Amazon for $1,076. To remind you, the GZ-HM1 sports a 10.62-megapixel back-illuminated CMOS sensor, a 10x optical zoom lens, a 64GB of internal memory, an SD/SDHC card slot, Advanced Image Stabilizer, ISO up to 6400, an HDMI output and the ability to capture both 1920 x 1080 Full HD video as well as 10-megapixel digital still images.

JVC is back to the camcorder market by releasing the JVC GZ-HM1 HD Everio series. This camcorder is able to record full HD videos (1080p) and is equipped with a 10.62 megapixel CMOS sensor to capture still images.

JVC has also introduced the GZ-HM550 HD camcorder, which boasts a 16x zoom, Bluetooth, and a 32GB of internal flash memory that is expandable via SD / SDHC cards. The JVC GZ-HM550 retails for $799.95

There is an HDMI out, so you can connect the Kodak PlaySport ZX3 to your HDTV to playback your recoded videos and photos. In addition, you can also share your pictures and videos with a range of websites like YouTube and Vimeo.

Stussy and Ricoh have collaborated to create the Stussy-branded digital camera in order to celebrate Stussy’s 30th birthday. Yashica has unveiled its new entry level HD camera in the form of the Yashica DV588. This compact HD Camera can record video in AVC 720p (Mpeg-4 AVC/H.264) and offers 5MP CMOS sensor, and a 32MB of internal memory (Expandable via SD/SDHC cards up to 8GB). That’s right! Only 32MB of storage space, so you will be able to record amazingly poor video that you will never share to your friend or family.

Japan’s legendary camera maker Yashica comes with a higher resolutions camera from EZ F824, The EZ F1231 has 12.19 Mpix CCD, 3x optical zoom, 32Mb of internal memory and supports SD/SDHC cards. its 20mm thick camera can shoot pictures up to 4000×3008 as well as recording video in 720×400 at 30fps. Get this legendary brand’s camera for 200€.

Pentax has a brand new entry-level DSLR. Known as the Pentax K2000, the camera offers basic DSLR features including 10.2MP sensor, 2.7 inch LCD display, supports up to 3200 ISO, continuous shooting rate at 3.5fps, dust removal and alert system, 10 scenes modes, and SD/SDHC memory card slot. What makes the Pentax K2000 cool is that it is also backward compatibility with Pentax lenses that were released since 1975.

If you want a cheap camcorder, you can choose the new camcorder from Exemode. It is the leading Japanese company. Their new product, The DV505 is a new 5MP camcorder from the Japanese company Exemode that features 32MB of internal memory, an SD slot (up to 2GB) and the ability to record only VGA video.

Samsung has dropped another digital camera called the L210 Point and Shoot. It comes with a 10.2-megapixel sensor, a 3x optical zoom lens, a 2.5-inch LCD monitor, red eye correction, optical and digital image stabilization, face detection, an SVGA movie mode and ten whole megabytes of internal storage, and an SD / SDHC / MMC card. The L210 is going for about $200 which isn’t too bad.

Here is the Exemode DV580HD, a 720p, h264 camcorder.It comes with 32MB of built-in memory, compatibility with SD and SDHC cards, and cost a high $222. You’d be better off buying a Sony in that case!

Panasonic released Lumix FX55 8.1MP compact digital camera in the Japan market this August. The shooter incorporates face detection AF function, ISO 6400 sensitivity and Auto Power LCD mode. In addition, the digicam also supports MMC, SD/ SDHC memory card, and 27MB of built-in memory. Available in silver, black, or pink, the Lumix FX55 is priced at around $390.
