The Sanyo Xacti PD1 combines a 10-megapixel digital still camera and a Full HD camcorder in one ultra-compact package. With its 3x optical zoom, integrated USB arm and 2-inch LCD screen, the Dual Camera Xacti PD1 is barely bigger than a cell phone. Supporting Eye-Fi memory cards, the Sanyo PD1 comes with an Easy Upload function to facilitate the sharing of videos on YouTube. Video sequences are recorded using the space-saving MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format, which means, for example, that a 32 GB card can store more than five hours of film material. You can use even higher-capacity cards thanks to the PD1’s compatibility with the latest SDXC memory cards. The pocket camcorder will be available from September 2010 in black, at a price of €169.

Sanyo comes back to the portable camcorder market by releasing the new Sanyo VPC-PD2BK. The lightweight HD video recorder is able to record 1920×1080 30p videos or capture 10 megapixel still pictures. The Sanyo VPC-PD2BK features a 3x optical zoom, a couple of microphones that record stereo sound, a USB port and a memory card slot that supports SD, SDHC or ultra-high capacity SDXC (up to 64GB) memory cards. The Sanyo VPC-PD2BK will be available for purchase in September 2010 for $169.99 each.

The VPC-CA102YL is the newest addition to Sanyo’s Xacti waterproof Full HD camcorder line-up. This pocket video camera can be used to a depth of 3 meters underwater for up to 60 minutes. Not only that, it also boasts a 14-megapixel image sensor, a 5x optical zoom lens, a 2.7-inch wide LCD display, an SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card slot, a mini-HDMI port and the ability to record 1920 x 1080p Full HD video at 60fps. The Sanyo Xacti VPC-CA102YL is priced at $350.

If you’re looking for a new HD camcorder with a decent price, then I suggest you to check out the Sanyo Xacti CG10 which is up for sale at Amazon for just $123.90 (regular price $199.99). Movies are recorded at a frame rate of 30fps and a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, whereas for stills, there are a host of scene modes plus smile and blink detection on offer. Boasting a large, 3-inch TFT LCD screen, the Sanyo E1403 is available priced at €129 and comes with a three-year warranty.

If someone blinks when the shutter closes, the photographer is alerted by the blink recognition and can take another shot. The Sanyo VPC-E1403 is priced at €129 ($157) with a three-year warranty.

The Sanyo Xacti DMX-CA100 is claimed to be the first Full HD camcorder in the world. This video recorder can be used to a depth of 3 meters underwater for up to 60 minutes. It is able to record Full HD videos (1920 x 1080 pixels) and capture 14-megapixel still pictures. The video recorder has the “High-Speed Sequential Shooting” mode that allows the camera to capture up to 22 photos at 7 frames per second. Other features include Digital Image Stabilizer, Face Chaser Function, a Mini HDMI Terminal and an Eye-Fi card compatibility.

Amazon has begun taking pre-orders for Sanyo’s upcoming Full HD camcorder ‘VPC-CG20′. At $199, this palm-sized video camera offers you a 10-megapixel CMOS image sensor, a 5x optical zoom lens, a 2.7-inch Wide LCD display, an SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot, a mini HDMI output and the ability to capture 1920 x 1080 Full HD video at 60fps in H.264 format.

Sanyo introduced two new members from its Xacti camcorder series. Dubbed as the DMX-CG100 and DMX-GH1, both video cameras can record Full HD video with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and take still pictures with a 14-megapixel sensor. Available in silver, pink, and blue, these camcorders also has a 2.7-inch LCD screen, a 5x optical zoom, and a 50MB of internal memory, which is upgradable via a memory card (SD/SDHC cards up to 32B and SDXC cards up to 64GB).

Sanyo comes back with its new compact HD camcorder known as the Xacti CG11. This powerful camcorder is capable of capturing both full 1280 x 720 resolution HD video at 30fps as well as high-resolution 10-megapixel digital still images. It also comes with a number of advanced features such as a built-in recognition of Eye-Fi’s cards, allowing users to share video over WiFi to YouTube without having to plug in, 5x optical zoom lens, a 40MB of internal memory, an SD/SDHC card slot and a mini HDMI port.

Sanyo’s Xacti HD1010 boasts a full 1920 x 1080 (1080i) resolution recording, “Face Chaser” face detection technology, 300fps slow motion mode, 4.0-megapixel stills, SDHC card slot, 10x optical zoom, and a 2.7-inch LCD display. The camera will be available in July 2008 for approx. $800.

Sanyo has unveiled the VPC-HD700 digital camcorder, a high-definition 720p digital movie camera. The VPC-HD700 features a 1280 by 720 resolution, compact and perfect for the on-the-go lifestyle. Other features include: MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format support, 7.1 megapixels, 5X optical zoom, 12X digital zoom, and a face chaser.

Sanyo introduced the Xacti CA6, which is a water-resistant digital camera. This 6 MP camera has camcorder capabilities, 5x optical zoom, and 12x digital zoom. Unfortunately, it has only 2-inch display screen and you can only capture 640 x 480 pixels MPEG movies. The Sanyo Xacti CA6’s price is US$400.

Sanyo’s Xacti HD1 is their latest high-def digital camera. This state-of-the-art camera features a 2.2-inch LCD screen, with capabilities to record 720p HD video/5.1-megapixel images on to a SD memory card. The Xacti HD1 measures at 3.1 x 4.7 x 1.4in and weighs in 8.3 ounces.

Sanyo will launched the Xacti VPC-E7 digital camera which features a 7MP resolution, 3x optical zoom and 2.5 Inch LCD screen. This new digicam also sports the innovative touch sensor which makes shooting more fun. This ultra slim camera has dimensions of 91 mm x 55 mm x 21 mm. The E7 supports a decent 2.5 inch LCD and the onboard touch sensor is able to activate auto focus and also provides a shutter lag of only 0.05 seconds and the camera is able to capture sequence shots at 2.3 fps. The Sanyo Xacti VPC-E7 can record a video at 30fps in the VGA mode or 15fps in the WEB mode. The digicam is powered by a Lithium Ion battery which provides approximately 260 images on a single charge. The E7 will be available by September this year for around €279.
