Pentax is ready to launch a Classic Silver variant of the Pentax Optio I-10 in the Japanese market. In case you didn’t know, the Pentax Optio I-10 is a retro compact camera that features a 5x zoom lens with a 35mm equivalent focal range of 28-140mm, a 12 megapixels sensor, a 2.7-inch LCD screen, a triple anti-shake protection, a 720p HD movie recording and a wireless remote shooting. In addition, the first Optio I-10 model has been released in February this year in Classic Black and Pearl White. The Classic Silver variant will start shipping next month in Japan.

Pentax Optio W90
Pentax is about to add a new color option ‘Orange’ to its Optio W90 rugged camera line-up. This Orange version will become available in August for a retail price of $329.95. To remind you, the Optio W90 boasts a 12.1-megapixel CCD sensor, a 5x optical zoom lens, a 2.7-inch widescreen LCD display, an HDMI port and 720p HD video recording capability.
Pentax Japan Delays 645D
Pentax Japan has decided to delay the launch of its highly anticipated 645D due to the high number of orders received for this medium format digital camera. The company will release the Pentax 645D on June 11th, 2010. For your info, this camera features a 40-million-pixel Kodak-made imaging sensor, a 3.0-inch LCD monitor, dual SD/SDHC memory card slots and can be used with the existing 645 system lenses.
Pentax K-x Camera
Pentax has collaborated with Tower Records to produce 1,000 units of the limited-edition “Rainbow Colors” Pentax K-x. This special edition camera has the same specifications as the standard K-x. The camera supports a 12-megapixel CMOS sensor, a 2.7-inch LCD screen with Live View and Face Detection that can detect up to 16 different faces. The new “Rainbow Colors” Pentax K-x captures up to 12,800 ISO in expanded range and records HD videos in 720P at 24fps. These cameras will be released on July 23rd, 2010 at Tower Records for 74,800 Yen ($809) each.
Pentax’s Latest Compact Digital Camera
Pentax has showed off another one of its upcoming compact digital camera namely the Optio M90. This point-and-shoot camera sports a 12.1-megapixel image sensor, a 5x wide angle optical zoom lens, a 2.7-inch LCD display, an SD/SDHX card slot, improved face detection function, 20 scene modes and has the ability to capture 640 x 480 video at 30fps. Available in burgundy red and black color options, the Pentax Optio M90 will start shipping in Europe from mid-June for about $180.
Pentax K-x Digital SLR
Pentax USA has released the K-x digital SLR in some new colors that are perfect for Spring season. The Pentax K-x SLR will be available in a limited edition bright blue, orange, green and purple. FYI, the K-x SLR camera features a 12.4-megapixel CMOS image sensor, a 2.7-inch LCD with Live View and an HD video capture in full 720p resolution.
Pentax X90 Megazoom Camera
Pentax has finally released the highly anticipated X90 prosumer camera that boasts a 26x megazoom with a super-telephoto lens (26 – 676mm equivalent). The camera also features a Macro mode that focuses to less than one inch away to capture images of subjects that are near or far. Other important features include a 12.1 megapixel sensor, a 2.7-inch LCD, and an electronic viewfinder with diopter adjustment.
Pentax X90
The new Pentax X90 features a high magnification optical 26x zoom lens offering a focal-length coverage between a wide-angle 26mm to a super telephoto 676mm (in the 35mm format). The minimal focus distance is 1 cm, which is ideal for macro photography. The camera adopts the Intelligent Zoom function that will extend the camera’s zoom range to approximately 162.5 times (for a focal length of approximately 4225mm in the 35mm format) without compromising the optical performance of the zoom lens. The 12-megapixel camera also features an image stabilization through sensor shifting and a fast face detection system that can recognizes as many as 32 individual subjects in 0.03 seconds. The Pentax X90 records movies at up to 720p and has a special anti-shake movie mode to reduce blurring for video.

This compact camera is waterproof (up to 20 feet), shockproof (from 4 feet), coldproof (up to 14F) and dustproof. Available in either black or black/green color option, the Pentax Optio W90 sports a 12.1-megapixel CCD sensor, a 5x optical zoom lens and a 2.7-inch widescreen LCD display. Not to mention, it also comes with a number of advanced features including Digital Image Stabilization, Digital Microscope mode, built-in LED ring light for close-up shots and 720p HD video recording at 30fps.
Pentax Optio M85
Pentax K-x Entry-level DSLR
Pentax has upgrade their DSLR camera series with the launch of the Pentax K-x DSLR. This entry-level DSLR features a 2.7-inch LCD screen, a 12-megapixel CMOS sensor that is capable of shooting up to 12,800 ISO in expanded range. The camera is also able to record HD video in 720P at 24fps. Additional features include Live View, Auto Focus, and the face detection technology that can detect up to 16 different faces. Available in red, white, blue and black, the Pentax K-x DSLR is priced at $599 for the body only or $650 with an 18-5mm lens.
Pentax Optio E75 Digital Camera
The digicam features a 3x optical zoom, a 2.7-inch LCD display at 230k resolution, and an automatic scene modes. It supports an ISO range of 80 to 1600, Face Detection, Face-priority and Automatic Smile Detection modes. The Pentax Optio E75 requires only a couple of AA batteries and is priced at €120 or around $160 in Europe.
Pentax Optio W10
By using this Pentax Optio W10, you can get underwater photography experience. The Pentax Optio W10 is compact digital camera featuring a waterproof and dustproof design that allows it to function underwater for up to 30 minutes at 5 feet. Pentax K2000 Entry-level DSLR Camera
Pentax has a brand new entry-level DSLR. It features 5x optical zoom, a 3-inch LCD monitor, face recognition, blink detection, USB 2.0 connectivity, video out and VGA movie mode. In addition to a SD / SDHC expansion slot 52MB of built-in memory and the rechargeable Li-ion good enough for 200 clicks on a full charge.
