Hitachi Home Electronics has introduced its next-generation Blu-ray Disc Hybrid Camcorder with the ability to record onto the next generation HD format, Blu-ray. The new DZ-BD10HA will offer several new features and improvements, notably a newly developed 7 mega pixel CMOS image sensor, which captures rich and vibrant videos and stills in FullHD (1920 x 1080) High Definition. It also comes with built in 30 GB HDD that is able to record up to 4 hours 20 minutes (1920×1080) or 8 hours 40 minutes (1440×1080) videos. The new DZ-BD10HA also offers a dubbing function that allows Full HD video to be transferred with the single push of a button from either the HDD or SDHC card to the BD drive, all within the camcorder, without having to connect to a PC.

Hitachi’s latest hybrid DVD+HDD camcorder, the DZ-HS500E, comes jam packed with 30x optical and 1500x digital zoom. The device combines the high capacity of a 30GB Hard disc with the convenience of a multiform at +DVD burner. This camcorder is supported by one touch button to burn movies from HDD to DVD and features 2 channels Dolby Digital acoustic recording. The DZ-HS500E also has a 2.7 inch TFT LCD screen.
