The new Ricoh Caplio RX camera, priced at $350, has a slim, wide-angle zoom lens with a focal length of 28 – 100 mm which is equivalent to a 35mm camera. This digital camera claims to have the world’s fastest shutter response and quick start-up time tested at 0.12 seconds and 0.9 seconds respectively. It has a 3.6x optical & 3.4x digital zoom. It has a 1.8-inch TFT LCD display, movie and sound functions, six scene modes (portrait, sports, landscape, night scene, text and high-sensitivity), an internal 8MB memory along with SD and MMC card support and also a USB 1.1.

It also has an optional wide angle converter lens and docking station with a 300 degree rotating lens capable of capturing scenic shots and portraits.
