The FinePix F470 is a compact and stylish digital camera meant for the casual photographer.  It has a wealth of automatic and scene mode at the same time also offering manual control of exposure. The main features are resolution of 6 Megapixel, 3x Optical zoom, 2.5” LCD display, Movie mode @ 640×480, 30fps with sound, 16MB internal memory, Proprietary Li-Ion battery, etc. The camera is very compact and easy to operate.  The LCD is very much viewable even in full sunlight.  Shooting performance is above average.  Red eye reduction feature is only marginally effective.  The auto focus is very effective even in dim lighting. Battery life is average.  The camera meets the photographic needs of a beginner in a stylish and light weight package.

The Epson Photo PC L-410 is mainly meant for the casual photographer who needs a basic, compact and inexpensive camera. The main features are resolution of 4 Megapixel, 3x Optical zoom, 1.5” LCD display, Movie mode at 640×480, 30fps with sound, internal memory of 16MB, etc. The camera is very compact and light weight with above average movie mode shooting.  On the downside, the still images look flat, auto focus does not work well in bad light and it has a very long start up time.  There are various features with respect to this camera and hence it is worth buying.

The Exilim EX-Z10 is a camera for the casual photographer.  It is very user friendly and fun as well as convenient to use.  The EX-Z10 combines Casio’s core technologies – cutting-edge miniaturization and digital expertise with state of the art photographic capability. The main features includes resolution of 5Megapixel, 3x Optical zoom, 2” LCD display, Auto focus, Movie mode with sound and 2 AA batteries. The EX-Z10 is a tiny camera built for convenience that delivers high quality photos and a speedy operation.  It has the anti-shake feature which could be very useful if you have shaky hands.  The mode dials and the menus use simple icons for enhanced user friendliness.

The A430 is a camera for the entry level photographer.  It has all the basic features required for no-hassles point-and-shoot sort of instances.  the main features includes resolution of 4 Megapixel, 4x Optical zoom, 1.8” color LCD and optical view finder, Auto focus and auto exposure, Movie recording with sound with resolution up to 640×480, Requires 2 AA Batteries, High speed USB 2.0 connectivity, 16MB SD/MMC card included, etc. The body of the camera is pretty sleek but not in the least stylish or flashy.  It features the DIGIC2 processor, so one can expect very good images.  But this is a camera you would probably very easily outgrow.
