The LCD is very much viewable even in full sunlight. Shooting performance is above average. Red eye reduction feature is only marginally effective. The auto focus is very effective even in dim lighting. Battery life is average. The camera meets the photographic needs of a beginner in a stylish and light weight package.

It features the DIGIC2 processor, so one can expect very good images. But this is a camera you would probably very easily outgrow.
