The Fine Pix A500 is an entry level digital camera by Fujifilm. It is a simple point-and-shoot camera which allows the user to shoot images without much hassle. The main features are resolution of 5 Megapixel, 3x Optical zoom, Auto focus, 1.8” LCD display, Movie Mode @ 320×240 10fps without sound, etc. The ergonomics of the camera are good except for the placement of the zoom control. The overall image quality is good. Red eye reduction feature is not very effective. Battery life is average. It has a relatively weak flash and poor auto focus performance in dim lighting. Still it is good value for the cost conscious consumer.
