The A700 is a member of the “A” series of affordable, feature laden power shot models from Canon. The main features of the digital camera are Maximum resolution of 6 Megapixel, 6x Optical zoom, 2.5” color LCD with up to 10x playback zoom, Widescreen – 16:9 stills recording, 30fps movie recording and it has 2 AA batteries. The camera is pretty boxy in design which is inevitable since it requires 2 AA batteries. The A700 features Canon’s proprietary DIGIC2 processor which Canon claims would provide exceptional image quality. The only negatives about this camera would be that it has no image stabilization and no on-board memory.
