RegHardware wrote a review of the Rico Caplio R5, which boasts a 7.24MP CCD, large 2.5 inch LCD display, Smooth Imaging Engine II, 26MB of internal memory, an SD/MMC card slot, and a powerful 7.1x optical wide zoom lens. Measuring 96mm x 55mm x 26mm, the camera is capable of taking up to 380 shots on a single charge.
The long zoom, 7.24 megapixel CCD, stunning macro, compact size and image stabilization all help the R5 to justify £250 asking price, but as a package there’s just not enough it excels at to make it easy to recommend without reservations. Good but not great.
