It also integrates built-in technologies to minimize image blur, including Super Steady Shot optical image stabilization and has high light sensitivity up to ISO 1000. Measuring 93.3mm x 71.7mm x 25.3mm and weighing 204grams.

HP’s Photosmart R837 digital camera comes equipped with a 3 Inch display with an extra wide viewing angle of 170 degrees, a 7.MP sensor with 3x optical zoom, 32MB of internal memory in case your SD card runs out of space, and VGA-quality video recording among others. What makes the R837 different is hat it has in-camera red-eye removal feature and an anti-shake mechanism. The HP Photosmart R837 is on sale for around $300.

Olympus announced its new compact digicam, the Mju 780, which offers a 7.1MP CCD sensor and a mechanical image stabilizer with high ISO settings to ensure crisp photos. Available in silver or black, the digicam is also a solid weatherproof camera. Toshiba offers the Gigashot V10 pocket camcorder that sports Mpeg-2 with a 4GB hard disk (0.85 inch) and an SD slot (SDHC). The gadget is now available in Dark Titanium and also Windows Vista ready.

The Sony CyberShot DSC-W80 is a 7.2MP digital camera with a 3x zoom, “BIONZ”, ISO3200, Face Detection feature, Video Out with HD support, and a 2.5 inch screen.

Sony launched the CyberShot DSC-H7, which is an 8.1MP camera with a Carl Zeiss lens, a 15x optical zoom, a “Face Detection” feature, and a video output to connect to an HD TV. Sony HDC-1400 is a new dual-format camera system which is ideal for studios and mid-size broadcast units. The studio camera sports 1080/59.94i or 720/59.94p and and features three-skin detail control, multi matrix color control, and high-quality SD down conversion capability.

Sony introduces the two newest members of the Cybershot family, the T100 and T20. Priced at $400, the Cybershot T100 is available from March 2007. The camera has a 3-inch LCD screen, Carl Zeiss 5x optical zoom lens. The Cybershot T20 will be released in April this year with the estimated price of $330. Both cameras use the Bionz image processor and come with the optical image stabilization system Super Steady Shot. They also have a sensibility up to ISO 3200 and are compatible with the Sony VMC-MHC1 HD component cable for simple connection to an HDTV set.

The Canon PowerShot TX1 is a multitasking digital camera that can shoot both 7.1MP pictures and 720p high-definition video in 16:9 format at 30 frames per second. It records the image data on SD memory cards, higher-capacity SDHC cards, MultiMedia and MMCplus cards. The camera has a swivel LCD screen and uses an improved Digic III image processor. Priced at $499.99.

The Nikon S500 comes jam packed with a new high-performance image-processing engine. This 7.1MP camera is equipped with a 2.5 inch high-resolution LCD, 15 scene modes, improved GUI, and many other features. The S500 has the world’s fastest shutter release time lag of .005seconds. Other abilities include Face Priority to achieve a sharp focus on other’s faces, and in-camera red-eye removal.

Nikon’s S50c 7.2MP digicam is equipped with a 3.0 inch wide-angle LCD and Wi-Fi capability. The camera has a pictmotion functions that allows users to view the pictures via TV. Other functions include Lens shift vibration reduction for its 3x Zoom 38-114mm lens to provide sharper images, a choice of 15 Scene Modes, a face Priority to achieve a sharp focus on other’s faces, in-camera red-eye removal, and D-Lighting to improve underexposed or low light images. It is also compatible with SDHC cards. The Nikon S50c sports a high sensitivity up to ISO 1600.

Panasonic comes back with the SDR-S10, which is claimed to be the world’s smallest SDHC-based camcorder. Measuring 1.2 inches x 2.5 inches x 4.5 inches, the camcorder captures video using its 2.7 inch LCD screen with a max 10x optical zoom. It uses a 2GB SD card to record up to 50 minutes of high quality video.

Brando’s Panda Webcam comes with a VGA camera attached to its belly. The camera provides 350k resolution and is capable of capturing motion in 320 x 240 pixels resolution at 30fps or 640 x 480 pixels resolution at 15fps. The device can focus on objects as near as 5cm up to infinity. The Panda Webcam is now on sale at Brando for $24.
